How do I know if I need a crown or bridge?
- If a tooth has had a root canal, a crown is needed to prevent the tooth from breaking.
- If your tooth is broken, it may need a crown.
- If you have been advised by another dentist that a crown or bridge is needed.
- If you have had multiple fillings completed on one tooth, it may need a crown.
- If you have had a tooth removed and would like to replace it, you may need a bridge.
Are these 'cheap' crowns?
- They are affordable crowns made out of the same materials that all current dentists use. We utilize the latest technology and pass the savings on to you.
- All crown and bridge material that we use is approved by the American Dental Association, Food and Drug Administration, and the Virginia Board of Dentistry.
- All dental laboratories used are ISO 9001 certified.
Can you do my crown in one day?
- Many times yes, depending on your specific needs, we can custom make a ceramic crown for you using our E4D CAD/CAM system.
- Due to structural limitations, some cases must be sent to a dental laboratory to give you the best crown for your needs. This requires two appointments.
- Our goal is to provide you with quality crown and bridge regardless of the fabrication process.
Can you do my bridge in one day?
- Sometimes yes, depending on your specific needs, we can custom make a ceramic bridge for you using our E4D CAD/CAM system.
- Due to software limitations, some cases must be sent to a dental laboratory.
Do you take radiographs (x-rays)?
- Yes. A digital x-ray will be taken to evaluate your tooth's current condition allowing us to make an accurate diagnosis of the best treatment for you.
- We will also take photographs and any other diagnostic records we feel are needed to give you the best treatment possible.
Do you place crowns on dental implants?
- No. Due to the high costs of dental implant components, we are unable to restore them in a cost effective manner.
How do I get started?
- Call our office to schedule your evaluation appointment so we can develop your custom treatment plan. Walk-ins are accepted.
Can you do my work the same day as the exam?
- If time allows we are willing to accommodate you. Otherwise, a convenient follow up appointment will be scheduled to begin your treatment.
What should I bring to my appointment?
- Dress comfortably in layers, treatment rooms may be chilly.
- A book, IPod/IPad, etc. We have TV's in each room for your enjoyment.
- All insurance information.
Is there a warranty on crowns and bridges?
- Yes. We offer a two year warranty on material failure.
